We are searching for a Construction Estimator for a growing FL-based organization.
We are seeking a highly technical and motivated Estimator, Sr. Estimator, or even a Preconstruction Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President, this person may hold overall responsibility on Estimating efforts for multiple projects. Estimating executives typically oversee Senior Estimators and other Estimating staff and develop a strong understanding of the company's value proposition to deliver to prospective clients.
As an Estimating Executive, you will be part of a team of Estimators in an effort to price and bid multiple projects. Working with the Chief Estimator, you will work under an experienced professional that will provide you with the opportunity to learn the department’s standard operating procedures and build strong relationships with the Preconstruction team. Additionally, we offer employees multi-dimensional training opportunities through several resources.
Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, Senior Estimator, or even a PreConstruction Manager you will:
Visualize, analyze and communicate project scope of work
Coordinate and execute tasks of estimating personnel assigned to a specific estimate
Coordinate cost/means and methods with Client and design team and prepare preliminary cost estimates/budgets
Work with Design Team to reconcile cost estimates
Analyze General Condition costs to determine company overhead
Manage Value Engineering Process
Provide input for Fee Proposals
Prepare all Indirect Costs
Review and coordinate project-specific insurance requirements
Prepare General Conditions/Site Services Costs
Understands all disciplines in estimating
Assure accuracy in estimating process, procedures and review requirements are met
Could deliver and present estimates to clients
Ability to sell company’s strengths and experience
Ability to preserve/reconcile all aspects of the estimate presentation while in front of a group/with client
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Any College relevant to this role is desirable
BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
5-15+ years of relevant experience
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Able to estimate all types of building projects, including residential high rise
Able to take concept and schematic drawings and develop meaningful estimates
Familiarity with On Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or Procore software programs preferred
